5 Good Indicators for Forex Trading

As a 40-year-old Pakistani trader and SECP market professional, I have seen one common mistake:
People think indicator hi profit deta hai.

Reality different hai.

Indicator sirf tool hai. Profit deta hai:

  • Market structure understanding
  • Risk management
  • Session timing
  • Discipline

Today I share 5 good indicators which actually work — if used properly.

First Understand Market Type

Moving Average (Trend Confirmation)

Most used indicator worldwide.

How I Use It:

  • 50 EMA + 200 EMA
  • Trade only in direction of trend
  • Avoid counter-trend scalping

Example:

In GBP/USD London session, price above 200 EMA → buy pullbacks only.

Accuracy improves 10–15% when trend aligned.

Best for:

  • Beginners
  • Swing traders

RSI (Relative Strength Index)

Measures overbought / oversold.

My Rule:

  • RSI above 70 → look for sell
  • RSI below 30 → look for buy
  • Combine with structure, not alone

Works very good in ranging markets.

RSI (Relative Strength Index)

MACD (Momentum Indicator)

Good for:

  • Trend continuation
  • Divergence spotting

MACD crossover during London session gives strong entries.

Session timing important:
